Wind of Change

德國的天蠍樂團(The Scorpions)於 1990 年推出第十三張專輯 "Crazy World"，距柏林圍牆倒塌甫過數月，隨後單曲 "Wind of Change" 在1991年暢銷全球，在德荷法英美等國長佔金榜，並成為柏林圍牆倒塌的代表歌曲。


2009年11月9日，柏林民眾齊集布蘭登堡門合唱此曲，歡慶圍牆倒塌二十週年。

1989年8月，天蠍樂團至蘇聯巡迴演唱，首開西方樂團紀錄，主唱Klaus Meine於巡迴途中在莫斯科搖滾節寫下此歌，數月後圍牆倒塌，東歐開放，冷戰遂而終結；圍牆倒塌當日，天蠍樂團正在巴黎演唱，在俱樂部吧台電視上看著東柏林群眾推倒圍牆，當時他們並不知這首剛寫好的歌即將被賦予如此歷史意義。


在柏林圍牆聳立後4年才成立的天蠍樂團，至今已成德國史上最受歡迎的本土樂團，"Wind of Change"也成為德國史上銷量最高單曲；這首以主唱口哨聲起始的老歌，如今已成全球各地樂迷耳熟能詳之旋律。

「你必須承認，並非每件事都如當初所願般美好。但圍牆已倒、人民已自由、再沒有人需為爭取自由而喪失性命，這是無可搖撼的事實」。Klaus Meine在圍牆倒塌二十週年後如是說。

(註四): 2010年1月25日，天蠍樂團宣佈將在全球巡演後解散，這支成立於1965年的老牌樂團，於官方網站上宣布:"現在是我們走到盡頭的時候了"；3月份，天蠍將推出最後專輯 "Sting in the Tail" ，並於5月份在祖國德國展開最後全球巡演。

(註五): Wind of Change 另一著名出處為英國首相Harold Macmillan於1960年在南非國會所作之演講，這場演講開啟了英國開放殖民政策的先聲，南非於1961年脫離大英國協獨立；今日南非市面仍販售有此演講之CD。Wind of Change來自演講中著名段落：“The wind of change is blowing through this continent. Whether we like it or not, this growth of national consciousness is a political fact.”
